We are pleased to announce that Jamie Winter has been selected as the national 2nd Place winner in the High School Senior Category for The Art Institutes Storytellers Photography Competition 2010!

In the competition’s inaugural year, 415 entries were received. This is more than in the first year of any other Art Institutes scholarship competition.

Local-level finalists were selected at each of the 31 participating Art Institutes schools offering photography programs which progressed to the national level. Entries were judged by an acclaimed panel of judges including famed photojournalist Harry Benson, Martha Rial, AiP alum and Pulitzer Prize winner, Carol Guzy, AiFL alum and three-time Pulitzer Prize winner and Nicole Jacobs, a Photography instructor from Ai Atlanta.

Early next week, a gallery of all local finalists and national winners work will be posted to the competition website, www.artinstitutes.edu/photocompetition
